When it comes to sports betting, the Soccer international break is enough to ruin your weekend. I did make a decent profit of $151, but I would highly advocate for taking the weekend off in the future, as I only managed 97 trades. Throughout my journey, nearly 80% of my trades have been on soccer, hence the lack of action! As there weren't many trades during the week, I’ll quickly go through my results and take a look at how I’m staying under the radar.
At one point during the weekend I touched roughly $830 in profits, but by the close of business on Sunday I was back down to $703. In other words, I’m getting quite close to my target of $2k, which I’ll hopefully reach in the coming weeks. The problem is, my closing expected value is sitting at $170, which is my theoretical edge on the bookies. So I’m clearly running well above where I should be, and like I always say, I can’t get emotionally attached to my profits as I am over performing.
If you take a look at my Bookmaker Breakdown, I’m clearly performing very well with CoolBet, profiting $537 off them after five weeks. Having not been limited by them yet (touch wood), I thought it would be beneficial to go through how I’ve been staying under the radar, but first, read this article to get a better understanding of what I’m talking about. I’ve followed all of these seven points, but in my opinion, stake sizing and putting on an accumulator have been the hardest to implement. As the Trademate software doesn’t recommend whole numbers for stake sizing, refer to my Week 2 article on how I’ve been stake sizing. As for placing an accumulator, I did that for the first time this week with CoolBet, and although it seemed like a waste of money, hopefully it throws them off!
Below are some screenshots of my biggest edge and biggest win, along with my biggest negative edge and biggest losing trade respectively.
